Botanical Gardens & Chocolate Tasting Tour | Princeville Botanical Gardens
Explore Kauai’s most vibrant botanical gardens and sample organic chocolate
Hidden away in the jungle valleys of Princeville on Kauai’s North Shore, dramatic topography, natural landscaping, and tender cultivation have culminated in to a sacred garden paradise. Though still young, Princeville Botanical Gardens is home to some of the healthiest specimens on Kauai, with a diverse collection comparable to the other beautiful gardens of the Garden Island. Besides native and “canoe” plants, the gardens are home to potent medicinals, rare and endangered flowers, and useful economic plants from around the world.
An entertaining and educational walk through the Robertson family’s 9-acre private gardens is being offered here. Knowledgeable guides share fascinating information and stories about exotic tropical flowers, potent medicinal plants, and native Hawaiian and canoe plants. The gardens have more than 800 species of plants, with something in bloom every day of the year. The unique charm of the gardens comes from the naturally landscaped valleys around the Anini Stream.
Every tour includes a gourmet chocolate tasting and honey tasting, as well as samples of seasonal fruits. Guests learn about the process of creating chocolate from raw cacao beans, then sample gourmet single-origin chocolates from around the world.
